On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in their car being chased by paparazzi throughout New York. The chase lasted almost two hours and was to said to have almost caused numerous collisions with other vehicles and pedestrians. Paparazzi followed the couple from a gala event. NYPD officers witnessed some of the chase.
“There were numerous photographers that made their transport challenging,” in a statement, NYPD spokesman, Julian Phillips said, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at their destination and there were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests in regard.”
“I don’t think there’s many of us who don’t recall how his mom died,” New York City Mayor, Eric Adams said, “and it would be horrific to lose an innocent bystander during a chase like this and for something to have happened to them as well.”
